Quick checklist
- Eat a real meal before your appointment.
- Drink water and get a good night’s sleep.
- Bring valid government-issued ID.
- Arrive sober and do not use alcohol or recreational drugs before the session.
- Wear clean, comfortable clothing that gives access to the placement and will not rub the tattoo afterward.
Bring these details
- Your reference images, if you have them.
- Your preferred placement and approximate size.
- Any information about an old tattoo if this is a cover-up or rework.
- A payment method for the remaining balance after the deposit is applied.
Before you arrive
- Do not come in with sunburned, irritated, broken, or infected skin at the tattoo site.
- Avoid heavy exercise immediately before a session if it will leave the area sweaty or irritated.
- Do not shave the area yourself unless DC specifically asks you to; the area can be prepared at the appointment.
- Tell DC about allergies, skin conditions, medications, or anything that may affect your appointment.
Plan for the session
Tattoo time depends on the size, placement, detail, and how your skin handles the session. Wear headphones if you want to listen to something, and bring water or a small snack for a longer appointment. Keep your phone available in case DC needs to confirm a design or appointment detail.
Cancellation and rescheduling
Cancellations must be made at least 7 days before the appointment. If you cancel less than one week in advance, the $50 deposit will not be refunded or transferred to a rescheduled date. Contact DC as soon as possible if something comes up.
After the tattoo
DC will review your bandage and aftercare instructions before you leave. You can always return to the Aftercare Guide if you forget what to do later.
